In this exhibition, a few contemporary artists will present their reflections on objects from the Parramatta Heritage Centre’s
collection and what they mean for Parramatta today.
I became interested in a circa 1850's wooden toothbrush - now broken in two with all the bristles missing - and a cracked fine
china tooth-powder case which were found in the now-extinct 'Babe in the Woods' pub in Parramatta.
So expect to see some really mischievous photomedia works that these 'artefacts' inspired.
