Art on the Line
“Beginning without thought” is an attempt by artist Billy Burke to explain the foundation of his work practice.  Billy will be a presenter at the first 2008 Art on the Line forum at Mars Hill Café, Parramatta, on Saturday, February 16, at 4pm. He is likely to be joined by other artist friends in presenting work.

In this exhibition, a few contemporary artists will present their reflections on objects from the Parramatta Heritage Centre’s collection and what they mean for Parramatta today.
I became interested in a circa 1850's wooden toothbrush - now broken in two with all the bristles missing - and a cracked fine china tooth-powder case which were found in the now-extinct 'Babe in the Woods' pub in Parramatta.
So expect to see some really mischievous photomedia works that these 'artefacts' inspired.
